RAUB OF HAZRAT UMAR RA
Once, some women from the Quraish were present in front of Prophet Muhammad PBUH and while conversing with the Prophet, their voices was loud. Meanwhile, Hazrat Umar RA reached there and asked permission to enter. On listening Umar RA’s voice, the women hid themselves in veil and sat aside. Prophet Muhammad PBUH granted Umar RA permission to join him. When Hazrat Umar RA entered, Hazrat Muhammad PBUH was smiling. On witnessing his smile, Hazrat Umar RA made dua for him that, “O Prophet, May Allah always keeps you laughing”
Prophet Muhammad PBUH said that, “I am puzzled by these women that they were sitting with me and on hearing your voice, they got nervous and started looking for veils”. Hazrat Umar RA said that, “O Prophet, you are more worthy and they should be scared of the Prophet PBUH” He then addressed the women that, “O antagonist women, you are scared of me and not of Prophet Muhammad PBUH?” The women replied, “Yes. You are more harsh and hot-tempered than the Prophet” Hazrat Muhammad PBUH said that, “I swear upon HIM in whose hands my life is, upon seeing you, Satan changes his way”
KNOWLEDGE OF HAZRAT UMAR RA
Once a Jew said to Hazrat Umar RA that, “O Amirul Momineen! There is a verse in your Book which you recite. If that verse would have betided on us, we would have declared that day as Eid. Hazrat Umar RA inquired about the verse. The Jew replied, “The verse is: Translation: Today we have completed the religion for you and completed our blessings on you and favored religion of Islam for you.” Hazrat Umar RA sad that, “I have knowledge about the place and day as well where this verse descended. This verse was betided on Youm-E-Arfat on Friday on Prophet Muhammad PBUH.
HAZRAT MUHAMMAD PBUH’s DREAM
Once, while telling about his dream the Prophet said, “I was sleeping when I saw a dream that some men are being brought to me. They all have different shirts on. Some shirts are till the chest, some are even shorter. Meanwhile, Hazrat Umar Bin Khitab RA was also brought to me. His shirt was so long that he was pulling it with himself.” The people inquired Prophet Muhammad PBUH as to what connotation will he make? Prophet Muhammad PBUH replied that this shows godliness.
MILK’S CONNOTATION
Hazrat Ibn Umar RA relates that I found Prophet Muhammad PBUH saying that, “I dreamt that I have been offered a bowl of milk and I drank from it till the humidity starts seeping from my nails. Then I gave the leftover milk to Hazrat Umar RA. When people inquired its connotation, the Prophet Muhammad PBUH said, “It means intelligence”
INTELLIGENT UMAR RA
Once, Prophet Muhammad PBUH said to his SAHABA Rizwan Allah Alehim Ajma'aeen, “Congratulation to you and give this good news to the people that whoever will admit LA ILLAHA ILLALLAH with his heart, will enter paradise” Therefore few men stood up to give the good news. First, they met Hazrat Umar RA. When they told him the good news, Hazrat Umar RA sent them back. When the Prophet Muhammad PBUH asked that who had sent them back, they named Hazrat Umar RA. When Hazrat Umar was questioned for the reason, he answered that, “O Prophet, this way the people will rely only on this and relax”
REVEAL OF VERSE HIJAB
Hazrat Ayesha says that the wives of Prophet Muhammad PBUH went to vast plain areas for washroom. Due to severe modesty, this strained Hazrat Umar RA. He mentioned it to the Prophet PBUH to stop them, but he dint do it prior to the betiding of the wahi.
One night, Ummul Momineen Hazrat Sauda Bint Zama’h RA came out. She was a tall woman. Hazrat Umar RA said, “O Sauda RA, I have recognized you”. He said this so that the order of veil should be betided. Thus, Allah descended the order of veil.
