When a laborer completes his work, what is the reward for his labor? The angels reply that he should be rewarded fully. Then Allah says, “I make you witness for this that to these people I have given my forgiveness and contentment as their reward”.
Recite the following prayer on sighting the moon of Shawal:
According to a tradition on Eid morning Allah sends angels to the earth who stand in the ways and streets and say this in a loud voice which is heard by all creatures except jinni and human beings, “O the followers of Muhammad come to your Lord, He would confer greatly upon you and forgive your big sins”. And when people come to Eid Gah, Allah asks the angels that when a laborer completes his work, what is the reward for his labor? The angels reply that he should be rewarded fully. Then Allah says, “I make you witness for this that to these people I have given my forgiveness and contentment as their reward.”
First Shawal:On first Shawal, after Zohar prayer if someone offers eight raka’hs Nawafil prayer with the intention of two raka’hs each and recites Surah Ikhlas twenty five times after reciting Surah Fateha in each raka’h, after finishing the prayer, recites Subhan Allah seventy times, Astaghfar seventy times and the following Durud Sharif seventy times: “Allahuma Salle Ala Muhammadin ninNabiyil Ummiyi Wa Ala Aalayhee Wa Ashabayhee Wabarik Wasllim”.
With Allah’s grace and with the blessing of this practice his seventy worldly needs and seventy needs hereafter would be fulfilled and Allah will bless him with His special reward and mercy.
Four rakat Nafal prayer:In the night of first Shawal, after Isha prayer if someone offers four raka’hs Nafal prayer with the intention of two raka’hs each and in every raka’h recites Surah Ikhlas three times, Surah Falaq three times and Surah Naas three times. After completing the prayer, recites Kalma Tamjeed (third Kalma) seventy times and prays to Allah for the forgiveness of his sins, Insha’Allah Taala he will be granted with the forgiveness of his sins and Allah will accept his repentance with His grace and mercy and bless him with the strength of doing good deeds.
Four rakat Nafal:According to saints, in the night of Eid-ul-Fitr, four rakat Nafal prayer should be offered with the intention of two raka’hs each in such a manner that in every raka’h Surah Ikhlas should be recited hundred times after Surah Fateha and after the Nawafil the following practice should be recited 11oo times in standing position. If someone is unable to keep on standing can recite by sitting. With the blessing of these Nawafil passion for Allah’s love will awake in the heart and will prepare you for the quest of Allah.
La Ilaha’ illAllahu Subhan us Samadil Ahad
La Ilaha’ illAllahu Subhan Rabbis Samawat e Wal Arz
In the first hour of Shawl-al-Mukarram, means on Eid night at the time of Tahajjud, recite eight raka’hs Nawafil prayer in such a manner that after Surah Fateha, in first and second raka’h recite Syrah Alkafiroun twenty five times, in third and fourth raka’h recite Surah Ikhlas twenty five times, in fifth and sixth raka’h recite Surah Falaq twenty five times and in seventh and eighth raka’h Surah Naas twenty five times. After the prayer, recite the following practice 1313 times, Allah will bless the reciter with His special kindness and will be rewarded immensely. This practice will also help with peace in torment of grave. It is very effective for the fulfillment of worldly need.“Bismillahi- Subhan Allahi- Ya Allahu”. بِسْمِ اللہِ۔ سُبْحَانَ اللہِ۔ یَااَللہُ۔
Paradise is obligatory:
Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that the one who in the month of Ramadan keeps fast in the day and offers Nawafil in the night and on Eid day, gives Sadqa-e-Fitr (alms given on Eid-ul-Fitr day) before going to Eid Gah, all his sins will be forgiven before he returns from Eid Gah.
Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that the one who keeps six fasts in the month of Shawal, Allah will save him from shackles and chains on the day of judgment. According to a tradition reward for these fasts is more than the worship for six million years, sacrificing six million camels and freeing six million slaves.
