Quran says about the importance of the day of Friday that “Oh believers, when you hear the ‘Azaan’ for Friday prayers, run towards remembrance of Allah (S.W.T) and quit buying and selling. This is better for you if you know”
Hazrat Abu Saeed Khizri (RA) quotes that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that there are five such acts that a person who performs them in a day, will be added in the list of heavenly people by Allah (S.W.T) and this day is the day of Friday.
1. Visiting an ill person. 2. Attending funeral on Friday. 3. Offering Juma Prayers. 4. Fasting on Friday. 5. Releasing a slave. Offering optional Salah (Nawafil) on Friday’s night. Many books mention the importance and blessings of Friday that any person who after offering Isha Salah in congregation offers 10 nawafil after Sunnah in denomination of 2 nafal each and recites one time Surah Ikhlaas and one time Mauzitain (Surah Falak and Surah Naas) and repeats it in every rakat of 10 nawafil and then offers vitar salah and lies down to sleep facing Qiblah (direction of holy Khana Kaaba) in his list of deeds, reward equal to offering prayers in Shab-e-Qadar will be written and this person should recite more and more Darood Sharif in this night also. Hazrat Jabar bin Abdullah (RA) quotes that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that anybody who offers 12 rakat Salah on Friday night between Maghrib and Ishaa in sets of 2 nawafil each so that he recites Surah Ikhlaas 10 times after Surah Fatiha and after these nawafil, recites 100 times each Darood Sharif and complete Astaghfaar,اَسْتَغْفِرُاللہَ الَّذِیْ لَا اِلٰہَ اِلَّا ھُوَالْحَیُّ الْقَیُّوْمُ وَاَتُوْبُ اِلَیْہit is like he worshipped Allah (S.W.T) for 12 years, like he fasted during the day and offered prayers during the night.
3. Any person who offers 2 rakat nafal Salah on Friday between Friday prayer and Asar Salah so as he recites Ayat-ul-Kursi once and Surah Falak 21 times in first rakat and Surah Ikhlaas once and Surah Falak 20 times in the 2nd rakat and recites 50 times لَاحَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّۃَ اِلَّا بِاللّٰہِ الْعَلِیِّ الْعَظِیْمِ after salam, Allah willing he will see his home in heaven in his dream during his life time.
4. Benefits of offering Salat-ut-Tasbeeh on Friday. Before Friday prayers offering Salat-ut-Tasbeeh is like offering Hajj and Umrah and after doing so a person is like a new born baby meaning that all his sins are forgiven.
5. Forgiveness of sins equal to 80 years. If this Darood Sharif is recited after Asar prayers before getting up and before talking to anybody, 80 years sins are forgiven. This Darood Sharif is:
