Treatment of Animals by the Prophet of Islam       (Ibn-e-Zaib Bhikaari)

It is is quoted by hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) that Hazrat Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said that an adulterous woman was forgiven because once upon a time she saw a thirsty dog on the bank of a well that he had stuck his tongue out so much so that he was about to die. She took out her shoe and tied it with her shawl and pulled water for the dog. She gave water to the thirsty dog and due to this she was forgiven. Upon this someone asked hazrat Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) that does a person also get rewarded for having mercy on animals? Hazrat Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said, a person gets rewarded for having mercy on every living thing. (Bukhari and Muslim) (Continued)
