He and his fellows, in a camp, on the bank of river were having lunch when suddenly a fellow announced that he had seen something floating.
Sometimes we happen to witness and listen such mind-boggling incidents that tongue on its own start praising Almighty Allah. I happened to learn an incident of the same kind that I am writing you. I had to stay in my occupational department’s hospital in connection to the treatment of my mother. There I met a fellow army-man. We used to chat and share the incidents we had come across during service. He narrated me the incident, he was an eye-witness of. He told that during nineties Sindh fell a victim to flood. He was deployed in internal Sindh to rescue the people and transfer them to safe havens. One day, he and his fellow men were having lunch on the bank of river in a camp when suddenly a fellow announced that he had seen something floating in the river. All of them, at once, raised there heads and looked in the direction pointed by their colleague but they saw nothing. Rejecting it as an illusion they resumed lunch. After some time the same colleague cried again regarding the visual. They looked and upon finding nothing again got into the lunch. But that soldier quitted lunch and started looking in that direction. Seeing him curious, they all withdrew from eating and asked one of their colleagues to bring binoculars. One of the soldiers upon looking thorugh binoculars confirmed about a floating thing which would appear with tides of the river. This was reported to the commanding officer who ordered to get to the site immediately. Boats were unanchored and a contingement was dispatched. Upon reaching the site they witnessed a miracle. That was a lady who had drowned but on her chest was an alive child whom she had hugged. A snake had wrapped itself around the arms so that the hug could not be unlocked and the child may remain secured on the mother’s chest. They put that lady in the boat and rowed to the bank. The lady was put on stretcher. When the lady had been put on stretcher the snake undid the curls and started creeping away. A few soldiers rushed to kill the snake but were forbade by the Khatib who declared the snake to be special.
This incident was reported to the officer who get it announced in the nearby areas to hear from the relatives of the lady and the child but no one appeared to claim relation to the lady and the child. They would have been floating from a far flung area. However that lady was burried with the help of the people of the surronding areas. That child stayed with them till an issueless landlord, who had every blessing but children, upon knowing the incident approached the officer and requested to adopt the child. The child was handed over to the landlord after required paper-work. As long as troops remained stationed there, the landlord would bring the child so that his saviours could see him. That child, surely, would have grown into a noble man of his area by now but he would be ignorant of the situations he had encountered. This is what called, if Allah wills not, no one can harm him.
