When Sawar Muhammad Hussain was martyred, the battle was going on and his body could not be sent to his village. So he was buried in the battlefield as trust. Almost after one month, his body was taken to his village but his grandfather did not allow anyone to see the martyred.

Before telling the story of three years after this great martyrdom, I want to review the life of Sawar Muhammad Hussain (martyred). He was born on 18^th June 1949, in Dhok Pir Bakhsh. He joined Pak army on 3^rd November, 1966. After joining Pak army, he mastered his driving skill. In 1971, during Indo-Pak war, Sawar Muhammad Hussain (martyred) was serving with 20 lancers. On 6^th September 1971, Sawar Muhammad Hussain (martyred) Nishan-e-Haider, was supplying arms and ammunition to Pak army on Shakar Garh front. On 6^th December 1971, he accompanied combatant and dangerous expeditions. On 10^th December 1971, Sawar Muhammad Hussain (martyred) found enemy digging trench in the village called Hara Khurd and informed the unit commander. He destroyed 16 tanks of the enemy with his personal efforts. On 10^th December, at 4 o’clock, he was martyred in the hail of bullets while killing the enemy with his riffle. Sawar Muhammad Hussain (martyred) was awarded with Nishan-e-Haider on major Amanullah’s recommendation. He got married in 1971; his children include a son and a daughter. It is also noteworthy that Sawar Muhammad Hussain (martyred) Nishan-e-Haider, was studying in Devi High school during the war of 1965 but his heart was full of patriotism. He got his primary education from Jhang Peru. He used to wear Shalwar Qamiz or tahband at home. His father gave him a white dress before going on war. Sawar Muhammad Hussain (martyred) often recalled the incident of Karbala and swayed upon the bravery of                                                     Hazrat Imam Hussain (رضی اللہ عنہ). When he was martyred, 100 rupees, a money order and two blood-stained letters were found from his pocket. When Sawar Muhammad Hussain’s (martyred) father was given the news of his martyrdom, his first words were, “If he showed cowardice in the battle”? When his battlefield partners were asked about how was his passion, they told that he was fond of sacrificing his life for the country. He fought with great passion and used to keep up the morale of his partners. He used to light up fire in the night and played jokes to amuse his partners.

The above mentioned information might be known by many people but now I am going to tell you something that very few people know. When Sawar Muhammad Hussain was martyred, the battle was going on and his body could not be sent to his village. So he was buried in the battlefield as trust. After three years, when Pak army exhumed his coffin from his grave to construct his shrine, his grandfather uncovered his face with the consent of scholars. Masha Allah, his blood was still fresh and the entire area was filled with fragrance. Everyone in the area sighted the martyr with ease. Even after three years of martyrdom, he was as fresh as he had been martyred now. Indeed martyrs do not die. That scene is still fresh before my eyes.
