Who is More Respectable Than Kaaba

Ubqari Magazine - May 2014

Hazrat Hassan (RA) says that Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about two people of bani-Israel that who is better between the two? One of them was a scholar who used to say his prayer and then get involved in teaching good things to people. The other one used to fast during the day and would spend the whole night in worship. Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said, ”The scholar who says his prayers and then gets involved in teaching good things to the people is better than the other person in a similiar way I am better than a weak person amongst you.” (Daarumi) Hazrat Anas (RA) quotes that one day we were sitting near Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and were talking in a way that one person quoted one verse and the other person quoted the other verse of the Quran to support their arguments in a way that it took the form of a baffle. Meanwhile, Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) came. Your countenance became red with anger as if seeds of pomegranate had been squeezed on your face. Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said,”People! Have you been sent to this world for this dispute, or you have been ordered about this? After my departure from this world do not kill each other and become infidels due to disputes (that disputes take a person to infidelity) (Tibraani, majma al-zaaoud). Hazrat ibn-e-Abbas (RA) quotes that Hazrat Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) looked at Kaaba with affection and said, laa ilaaha illa Allah. O Kaaba! You are so sacred. Your smell is so pleasant and you are so respectable. But the respect and dignity of a believer is a lot more than you. Allah Almighty has made you respectable. Similarly, the property, blood and respect of a believer have been made reverend. And due to this respect it has been prohibited that we doubt a believer (Tibraani, majma Azaaoud)
