Vitamin E:

My sister whenever comes from aborad, she takes Vitamin E daily. It is present in which things, what are its benefits or it is taken as a habit. Kindly tell me about this, I do not take medicines rather I give priority to food. I feel starnge about my sister that how she takes different vitamins in morning and evening. (Rashida Nadeem)

Advice: Rashid Bibi you do well that instead of taking medicines, you pay attention towards balanced diet. Vitamin E opens veins and reduces the risk of blood clotting and regularizes the urination. It is beneficial for heart and gives strength to veins, taking this vitamin gives energy to heart and the wound marks do not become so deep, sometimes the applying or eating of this benefit eliminates the marks and scars. It is beneficial for burnt skin and applying it on affected part keeps the marks away. For issues of heart diseases, liver, kidney, feet swelling, their wounds, burnt wounds, this vitamin is also helpful. Women, who get issue of sanyas, get relief by taking this vitamin. For making Sohan Halwa, the cereal grains are cleaned and put them in tray for giving them spray of water. Due to moisture, the grains open in 2 to 3 days and this thing is the big source of Vitamin E. Oil, Pistachio, Corn, Banola and its oil, Soy bean and its oil, Olive Oil, Cabbage leaves, Spinach, Walnut, salad,Peas, Cow’s liver, and egg yolk are rich sources of vitamin E, It is not wasted after cooking. The fresh flour which is not stained is better. I feel that our old ladies were so sensible and wise. They did not know what Vitamin E is but they were aware of the benefits of cereals. They used to soak cereals in winters and make Halwas from them, the walnut was used for sweets,other grains were used to make porridge and other dishes for giving the children in breakfast. After soaking the cereals, it was boiled and mixed in milk and sugar for giving it to kids in breakfast. The weak kids used to get better with this. The pulses were use to make Barian by soaking them and the green peas were used to get fried in oil, the Pulp of Banola was used to make Kheer which was beneficial. The Raw of cereal was stored which was used to make tea and take in flu and cold. The cereals were roasted and taken with Gurr and also added walnut in it and kids and bigs used to eat it in winter. Vitamin E is very beneficial for infertility both in men and women. You take wheat, wash it and keep it in a strainer. Spray with water in morning and evening. In 3 to 4 days, the cereal will sprout in you dish now you make porridge of it and grind it to make Halwa, or prepare Haleem or porridge. Grind them, add sugar and make them in cubes, the food rich in vitamin E is now ready. It is said that for aging, Vitamin E should be taken. Due to its use, the Old age does not come so soon and it keeps away tiredness.

 

 

 

What care should be done after Delivery?

My age is 30 years and I have gained much weight after deliver, suggest me any medicine, the second thing is that my belly becomes enlarged after deliver; it is not only mine but issue of so many women. (Amina, Bahawalnagar)

Advice: Some women get enlarged belly in pregnancy days. The solution of this issue is that a Dupatta fabric should be taken and a wide strip should be made to tie it on the waist line for giving support to the belly. It will control the belly enlargement. The second way is that you massage the lower abdomen with olive oil or mustard oil with hand in last month daily, it will not create stretch marks on the skin. After deliver, if it is normal than take a pillow in morning daily and put it on the floor and lie on it with abdomen on it for 5 minutes, after the 40th day of delivery, you can lie on abdomen with empty stomach in morning and evening it will press the belly. There was time that boiled water with added dried ginger was given to women in that time; it used to control the belly enlargement. Even today, if we see the Indian women, they look mart, after deliver, much of the food is eaten which also enlarges the belly. After delivery, if a wide strip is tied on the belly for ten days, then also the abdomen stays in control. Add ginger to your diet, and take less diet. If you eat 2 roties than take 1, before breakfast in morning, take juice of half lemon in boild water of one cup and add a table spoon of honey in it and drink, do morning walk. You can also walk in courtyard of your house. Eat food by sitting on the floor and do not drink water after food. It is Sunnat to drink a glass of water before meal. Do not take much sugar and balanced diet can control you weight.Vinegar is beneficial for you, you can also take it by adding onion and green chilies in it and also sprinkle on the salad. Mako which is called Peelak is also benefical for you as saag. If you cannot take Saag than you can make Bhujjia of its leaves and eat. The juice of Sonf and Makko is also beneficial. It is better to control your diet, take less roti and avoid the meat. Vegetables, fruits, milk in daily diet will be beneficial. We have the custom that after delivery, fried and meaty food is given which enlarges the belly. Use of much oil is not good. Take better food and do walk with it to control the belly. Dry fruits are added in Panjeeri, do not eat it much. 2 spoons are enough for you. Add some dried giner in Panjeeri and take it. Women take pure Ghee which also gains weight. Everything should be taken moderately or else the things give harm instead of giving benefit.
