(Bint-e-Chishti, Kasur)
Hazrat Umer Bin Abdul Aziz (رضی اللہ عنہ) attended a funeral. After performing the funeral, he went to his friends’ graves. While he was crying after praying for them, suddenly a sound came from the soil, “O Umer! Won’t you ask what I do with your friends?” he asked, “What you do?” It said, “I blow the shroud into rags, eat their meat, scratch their eyes and dry them off, separate the wrists from arms and shoulders from back, I distant the legs from feet, hips from thighs and back.” Umer Bin Abdul Aziz (رضی اللہ عنہ) kept listening and crying. While leaving, the soil spoke again and said, “O Umer1 shouldn’t I show you the shrouds that never decay?” he asked, “What are those?” the soil said, “Be fearful of Allah and do good deeds.” (if someone gets such shroud, I never do any harm to it).
