Hazrat Maulana برکاتہمدامت is a great preacher of Islam and has the honour of converting 500,000 people into Muslims. His internationally known book “Nasim-e-hidayat ke Jhonke” is worth reading.
In state of great anxiety, he was sitting towards the head and sometimes towards feet. He did not eat a single thing for many days. His sister was on death bed.
Hazrat Maulana Faiz-ul-Hasan برکاتہم دامت was reciting Kalima loudly and asking the family to do so as well. He was reciting Surah Yasin and Kalima alternatively. His sister opened her eyes, looked towards the sky and recited Kalima Shahadat loudly with the power given by Allah:
اشھد ان لا الہ الا اللہ واشھد ان محمداً عبدہ ورسولہ ﷺ اللھم الرفیق الاعلیٰ “I bear witness that there is no God besides Allah and I bear witness that Hadhrat Muhammad ﷺ is His servant and messenger. Allah is the most superior friend.” After that she closed her eyes forever. Hazrat Maulana Faiz-ul-Hasan دامت برکاتہم tied strip on her mouth and around her toes and told his family to bring food then. I am feeling hungry. His wife said, “you are very strange. When the sister was alive everybody pleaded you to eat something but in vain and now when she has passed away, you are asking for food very complacently”. He replied, “Since she was on death bed, I was very restless about how her life ends. All praise to Allah, with His blessing she died faithful. What relief can be greater than this?”
Hazrat Maulana Faiz-ul-Hasan دامت برکاتہم was among those people whom Allah gave the power to recognize real right and wrong. He believed that life is a journey and life after death was real life. The peace in that life is depends on ending of life in the state of faithfulness. Therefore, the luxury of this life, even relief from diseases in this life was trivial as compared to real success in the form of end of life with real and true faithfulness and bearing witness to oneness of Allah. Hazrat Maulana Faiz-ul-Hasan دامت برکاتہم died in the state of prostration. My respected Hazrat Maulana Ali Mian Noor Allah Markadah wrote a letter of condolence to the sons of Hazrat Maulana Faiz-ul-Hasan دامت برکاتہم, that I cannot understand that I should condole or express happiness on such envious death. Those who fail the test of this life will go to hell and will be given torturous punishment and those who succeed will live peacefully in heaven. The true Prophet has given the news that in heaven there will be such boons unseen and unheard by any and unimaginable by any heart. The criterion to pass this test is the end on faithfulness. Allah who sends us to this place of test and furnishes this for us, has defined some rules and codes obedience to which determine success or failure of the followers of Islam. In the near past there has been a prudent and Hazrat Maulana Maseeh Ullah Khan برکاتہم دامت who shares an easy prescription for death with faithfulness, whenever you feel that Allah has blessed you with faith or you do some kind deed, thinking that the power to do it is exclusively given by Allah, say Alhamdu Liilah from the depths of your heart. Insha Allah you will die faithful. May we also be blessed with such thoughtfulness for the death in faithfulness!
